STARDATE0325.25 - ROOR x N8 COLLABORATIONS

Working with ROOR has always been a dream collaboration of mine. As a younger stoner, I grew up chasing ROOR's, it was one of the first recognizable weed brands that I remember vividly. Sure there were big brands before them, but when you saw a ROOR, they were always the highest bar of quality, super thick glass, meticulously crafted, zero flaws, and there was street lore behind them. And later as a fledgling glass artist, the OG collaborations they did with Mike Fro were some of the more memorable pieces I remember drooling over in my early glass days.

I had the pleasure of meeting Martin Birzle, the owner and creator of ROOR, in Barcelona Spain a few years back, while I was helping to judge the European Flame-off. Unfortunately I messed up my ankle pretty badly riding a BMX bike, and was hobbling around on crutches, but ever since that trip and meeting Martin, I really wanted to make a visit to Germany and learn more about ROOR. The trip never came to fruition, and ROOR Germany has since closed their studio doors, but I was still able to get two really nice last pieces in with the help of the super-talented Timi_torchhead.
