Glass Tongs. Finshing Tools. Miers Pliers. Whatever you call them, these tools are essential to hold hot glass pieces while you finish them and/or put hot items back in and out of the kiln. I've been making this version to give to friends and for sale for over 15 years, and I only make them in small batches when supplies are available, so if they are sold out, please check back later, OR if you want to learn how to make your own, I will show you how in this blog/video.

Currently available in three variations: Shortys, Economy, and Deluxe. Please note, this is the last of my blue lathe tape, so once these are gone, I'll only be making the Deluxe models with the black tape.

Working tips: It's okay (and even recommended) to quickly flash these a few times in the back of the flame before using them to warm them up as to avoid heat shock, esp in the colder months, but avoid torching them directly when holding pieces as the flame will break them down quickly. They can also be kind of slippery at first so please be extra extra extra careful until they are broken in a bit.

Notes: These finishing tools are hand assembled, so there may be slight cosmetic inconsistencies from pair to pair. The lathe tape is asbestos-free fiberglass tape, and will hold up to working temps of 1700 degrees, while the glue is a non-toxic high-temp engineering adhesive rated up to 2015 degrees.
