Another one-of-a-kind collaboration with my friend Justin Carter - this time we went big with a 50.9mm marble (a proper chonker!).
One side features Justin's signature staircase cab with opals, dichro, and fume creating that signature depth. The middle section is his Ten-Strip Tech - a psychedelic rainbow pattern with hidden UV (yellow and pink reactive) that's been coated in crushed opal. It's a technique his collectors know well, and it makes for a wild divider band wrapped around the equator.
The opposite side is a Star Portal cab - my space-themed take on a classic windowing technique. This one reveals a large opal disc that appears to float in the center of the marble, stacked in layers but suspended in space. It's backed by Ion Green UV from Molten Aura, so the whole portal glows green under blacklight. Vivid Rust accents (that striking red from Northstar Glass) are raked across the surface to break up the sections and tie everything together.
Measures 50.9mm in diameter, and signed by both artists.
