Justin and I have been friends for years - I've watched his Opal Staircase technique evolve from early experiments to the absolute mastery you see in that mouthpiece implosion. When he was in town recently, we both had the itch to make a hammer, so we knocked this one out together.
The centerpiece of this one-off dry piece is Justin's staircase opal implosion at the mouthpiece - the depth and dimension is unreal. The handle/can is classic space design with Xenomorph racing stripes (a rich ethereal multi-color from Molten Aura) running down both sides of the can. The front features a marble with three spiraling UFOs and some trippy time-warp optics with a cold-worked window.
On the right side, there's a large dichro galaxy marble attachment with a hidden 5-pointed star. The Meta-terrania accents (that brilliant glowing aqua blue color, again from Molten Aura) really pop against the space work, and thin Eclipse incalmos break up the sections on the can and handle nicely.
Classic space carb with 6mm hole. Mouthpiece is 6mm. Standard 3/4" bowl push with 4mm bowl hole. Measures 3-3/4" from mouthpiece to center of bowl, or 5" mouthpiece to tip of marble. Can is approximately 2.5" tall. Weighs 4.7oz.
