The Race2Space (R2S) Series is a nod to the old school color-changing glass pipes. The R2S concept started around 2008 when a shop mate of mine asked if I had ever done my space-theme on clear glass instead of black, and it immediately clicked...you make it black from smoking thru it! I immediately made two clear-based space pipes and we had ourselves a friendly little "Race 2 Space" to see who could blacken their piece first, and 'reach space'. That's when the Race2Space Series was born, and it stuck with me even since.
I occasionally hold Race2Space contests in N8's Intergalactic Gazette where contestants all start with squeaky clean pieces and we 'Race2Space' for fun & prizes...and owning a piece is your ticket to enter.
This particular R2S hand pipe is a solo from me, made from full Green Ion and Pink Flamingo UV reversals, a large pink UV & Opal magnifier marble adorns the right side. 3.75" long from tip to tip, 5/8" bowl pack, 2.5mm bowl hole, 3/8" carb hole, 3/8" mouthpiece hole. 2.6oz. Includes small cloth carrying case, branded cleaning cloth, and pocket UV flashlight. Signed and dated "N8-25"
